Eva S. Rodriguez

ELOY - Eva S. Rodriguez, 80, of Eloy died on Sept. 11, 2017, in Phoenix.
Mrs. Rodriguez was born Eva Serda in Edinburg, Texas, and was a daughter of Paulino and Maria Salazar Rodriguez. It was in Texas that she met her future husband, Eliseo Rodriguez. They were married on May 18, 1958. Shortly after, they moved and settled in Eloy to raise their family.
She dearly enjoyed spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Because of her early years in Texas, she was a passionate fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
She is survived by five adult children, Eliseo Rodriguez, Ene Maldonado, Elda Rodriguez, Elberto Rodriguez and Esequiel "Kiki" Rodriguez; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, Paulino Serda Jr.
Visitation beginning at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, with recitation of rosary at 7, at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church in Eloy. Funeral Mass celebrated there at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19. Burial in Eloy Memorial Park.
