CASA GRANDE - Everrett Lee Martin, 76, of Casa Grande died on Jan. 6, 2019, after a lengthy hospital stay with multiple health problems.
Mr. Martin was born on May 24, 1942, in Harper, Kansas, to Floyd and Ivah Mae (Lewis) Martin. He moved to the Casa Grande area in 1963 from Lawrence, Kansas. He served proudly in the National Guard.
He was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ and led its bus ministry for several years. He was a certified welder, a journeyman machinist and a blacksmith. He owned and operated Martin Welding in Casa Grande and also worked for Meredith/Burda, R.R. Donnelley and Casa Grande Valley Newspapers Inc.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 32 years, Jeanne R.; two daughters, Stephanie Davis and Amy Vestal; a sister, M. Kay Gonzalez; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a biological daughter, Kristi Martin, a month ago; a granddaughter, Ariel Geis; and a sister, Elsie Brian.
Celebration of life at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, at Church of Christ.
