Exaveola Jones

Exaveola Jones, 73, of Casa Grande died on May 29, 2012, at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday at First Assembly of God. A funeral will follow at 10 for Mrs. Jones and two family members who died about the same time. Elder Anthony Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones was born on May 18, 1939, in Royse City, Texas, to Albert L. and Henrietta Mitchell Williams, the second of seven children. In 1952 she moved with her mother and two sisters to Casa Grande, where she attended school. In 1955 she met the man of her life, Sam Jones Jr., and they were married on Jan. 14, 1956. They had eight children, and she was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family and playing bingo.
Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Christine Jones, Annette Gulley, Theresa Jones and Shavanda Jones, all of Casa Grande; two sons, Glen Jones of Casa Grande and Darrell Jones of Flint, Mich.; six sisters, Betty Jean Edwards, Lula Deloney and Doris Johnson, all of Casa Grande, Mary Anderson of Mesa, Dorothy Williams of Lubbock, Texas, and Ruby Lewis of Littlefield, Texas; four brothers, Earnest J. and Edward E. Williams of Littlefield, Curtis and Eugene Williams of Casa Grande; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Her son Melvin Jones died the same day, and she was preceded in death by another son, Sammie Jones, and a brother, Albert Williams Jr.
