He attended Maizeland Elementary, Rivera Junior High and El Rancho High School, or "The Ranch." He loved all sports. If there was a game on, he was watching it. He loved horseplay with his nieces and nephews and was a big fan of the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Phoenix Suns. He was a rock 'n' guy, and he loved Creedence Clearwater Revival and Led Zeppelin.

He worked at Custom Tool & Grinding for years until he decided to move from California to Arizona to be closer to his mom. He was great with his hands and he used his construction skills to help many family members over the years. His last few years consisted of caring for his mom at her home in Salt River. He was devoted to his family and a hardworking and no-nonsense man. He had a great sense of humor.
