BAPCHULE - Fabian B. "Jocko" Moffett, 45, died on Sept. 25, 2014, at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Jackson home in Santan and then continuing at the Carol Santos home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 7 a.m. Friday at St. Anne Catholic Mission in Upper Santan by Monsignor Ed Meulemans. Burial will be in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery.
Mr. Moffett was born on March 8, 1969, in Sacaton. He worked in casino maintenance and loved old country-western music and dancing to all kinds of music. His favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Wildcats. He enjoyed spending time with his horse, Sally, and hanging out with friends and family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Danielle and Shyenne Moffett of Bapchule; a son, Darrion Jackson of Santan; his companion, Jeanette "Spunky" Jackson of Santan; his mother, Ophelia V. Cruz of Santan; four stepchildren, Samantha, Mario, Lexi and Mark Jackson Jr., all of Santan; two sisters, Ayla Cruz of Santan and Edwina Apkaw of Goodyear Village; two brothers, Alonzo Apkaw and Albert Cruz Jr. of Santan; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Fabian Apkaw, and a sister, Amelia Cruz.
