AK-CHIN — Farrell McLane Baptisto, 56, of Ak-Chin died on June 29, 2012, at home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday at the Ak-Chin Service Center, with rosary recited at 6. The funeral will be at 7 a.m. Saturday at Ak-Chin Community Center, with Pastor Johnny Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Ak-Chin Cemetery.
Mr. Baptisto was born on July 12, 1955, in Sacaton. He was a farmworker and a very private person who loved to spend time with his family. He would make traditional Native American reproductions of arts and crafts items.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Deborah; a daughter, Antonia Baptisto of Ak-Chin; his mother, Alba J. Gonzalez of Salt River; six brothers, Dana and Delmer Osife of Casa Blanca, Vernon Osife of Salt River, Lonnie Kisto of Los Angeles, Christopher Baptisto of Phoenix and Isadore Baptisto of Florence; and three sisters, Carol Baptisto of Mesa, Marie Baptisto of Salt River and Lamberta Gomez of Sacaton. He was preceded in death by his father, Isadore Lambert Baptisto, and a brother, Adriel Osife.
