Felix Jose Nava Sr., 72, passed away June 21, 2023. He was born in Casa Grande on January 26, 1951 to Julian Nava Sr. and Hortencia Medrano Nava.
He always had a joke to tell and a love for watching boxing. He taught his family how to shoot pool and enjoyed going to the casino to watch his Cardinals play. Felix would take his sisters out dancing when he could. He enjoyed a good western movie and game shows. Felix liked to go up north to the cooler climate to camp and go fishing. He enjoyed family gatherings most of all. He worked at Abbott Laboratories for over 25 years before he retired.
He is preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents, Jose and Isabela Medrano; paternal grandparents, Juvencio and Genoveva Nava; siblings, Julian Nava, Fernando Nava and Marta Nava.
He is survived by his children, Annalisa (Christopher) Tapia of Casa Grande, AZ and Felix Jose Nava Jr. (J.R.) of Paris, TX; siblings, Minerva Nava of Palmdale, CA, David Sandoval of Heber, AZ, Melba Martinez and Maria Nava of Arizona City, AZ, Louis Nava, Rachel Nava and Mario Nava, all of Casa Grande, AZ; grandchildren, Jimmy Tapia and Kolby Tapia of Casa Grande, AZ, Julian Nava of Camp Pendleton, CA, Alex Nava of Potsdam, NY, Catalina Nava and Alazar Nava of Powderly, TX; and great-granddaughter, Aryah Tapia of Arizona City, AZ.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and rosary will be recited from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Gardens Chapel, 525 N. Peart Rd., Casa Grande. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 10 a.m. and mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 201 N. Picacho St., Casa Grande. Burial to follow at Mt. View Cemetery, 15506 W. Skyway Ave., Casa Grande.
