Fidencio "Blackie" Ramirez, 85, of Tolleson, Arizona passed away on
November 14, 2017. The memorial service will be at 10 a.m., December 4th at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The
Gardens Chapel in Casa Grande.Interment will be on December 5th at
11 a.m. at Veteran’s National Memorial Cemetery, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix.
Fidencio was born Nov. 16, 1931, in Carlsbad, New Mexico, the son of Juan and Mariana Ramirez.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country during the Korean War. Upon his return to civilian life, he married his beloved Elida Ramirez. They were married for 58 years. He had a
successful career as foreman for FICO, a large agricultural
company in Sahuarita, AZ, eventually transferring to
Maricopa, AZ. In 1976 he moved his family to Phoenix, AZ.
He enjoyed music, singing, playing guitar and accordion with family and friends. His 10 grandchildren were his greatest joy.
Survivors include two daughters, Sylvia Ramirez of Laveen and Olga Vega of Tolleson; two brothers, Pasqual Ramirez and Monico Ramirez of Casa Grande; four granddaughters, Kristine Kempf, Erica Iglesias-Diaz, Rebecca Fudurich and Priscilla Aviles; six great-grandchildren, Charles Scot Dawson, Kirsten Kempf, Khyla Dawson, Savannah Diaz, Mason Fudurich and Emily Fudurich.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elida Ramirez; brothers,Benino Ramirez, Antonino Ramirez and Cipriano Ramirez; and a son, Robert Ramirez.
