Flora Alvarez, 48, of Casa Grande died on March 15, 2012, at home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. The service will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at More Than Conquerors Ministries, with Michael Valenzuela officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Ms. Alvarez was born on Aug. 9, 1963, in Sacaton. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, dancing and taking care of her grandchildren. She was a great cook and her favorite meal to make was red chili enchiladas with ground beef.
Survivors include four daughters, Veronica Diaz, Irma Valenzuela, Priscilla Hernandez and Brittany Alvarez, all of Casa Grande; a son, Juan Alvarez of Casa Grande; her companion, Jose L. Sanchez; her parents, Angel and Maria Alvarez of Casa Grande; four sisters, Eloisa Pino and Juanita Alvarez of Tucson, Lupe Valenzuela of Casa Grande and Alma Alvarez of Sacaton; five brothers, Carlos Mendez, Bobby and Robert Alvarez, all of Casa Grande, Angel Alvarez Jr. of Tucson and Gilbert Alvarez of Arizona City; and 19 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mia S. Alvarez.
