Flora G. Martinez

Flora G. Martinez, 78, of Casa Grande died on Jan. 27, 2015, at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 10. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30.

Mrs. Martinez was born on Oct. 27, 1936, in La Union, New Mexico, and was a daughter of Bonefacio Gonzalez and Librada Castillo. She worked as a health caretaker and was devoted to her family, emphasizing their education. Mexican traditions of family and cooking were important to her. She loved crocheting, puzzles and painting.

Survivors include her husband, Roberto P.; a son, Robert G. Martinez of Casa Grande; two sisters, Helen De La Garza and Jane Garcia of California; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Manuel and Jesse Gonzalez, and two sisters, Maria Amaro and Mercedes Gonzalez.
