Florence Louise Langston August 15, 1937 – March 16, 2025
Florence Louise Langston passed away peacefully at home on March 16, 2025, at the age of 87. She was born on August 15, 1937, in Deming, New Mexico, to Howard and Dena Birchfield. She grew up in Wickenburg, Arizona, and attended the Rincon School along the Hassayampa River.
She was one of seven siblings—Betty Feerick, Mary Ellan Tresant, Ione "Midge" Camara, Vivian Newcomb, Howard Birchfield Jr., and Lenora Jane Brady—all of whom preceded her in passing.
Florence was married twice, first to Owen Lee Myers and later to Fred Langston, whom she married in Williams, Arizona. Both husbands preceded her in death. She was the mother of her oldest son, Willard Myers, her daughter, Carol Martin, and her youngest son, Clayton Langston. She also had several grandchildren.
She worked at Walmart for 25 years and retired at the age of 80. She enjoyed spending time at home, taking care of her yard and animals, and making trips to the casino. She lived life on her own terms and preferred a simple, independent lifestyle.
A graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery in Casa Grande, AZ, on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM. A family gathering will follow at the Langston residence.
