Florentino Tarango Madrid, aged 80, of Apache Junction, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025. He was born on June 20, 1944, in Rio Del Bravo, Mexico, to Miguel Madrid and Eliza Tarango.

A devoted and hardworking farmer throughout his life, Florentino shared his knowledge internationally, even traveling to Saudi Arabia to teach sustainable farming and water conservation practices. His love for music, particularly mariachi, brought joy to his life, alongside his enthusiasm for watching boxing. Above all, Florentino cherished the moments spent with his family, for whom he held the deepest affection.

He leaves behind three beloved daughters: Lisa Madrid, Diane Madrid, and Maria Huff. He is also survived by his siblings: Marylou Baldenegro, Augustine "Woody" Madrid Sr., Lola Madrid, Michael Madrid, and Josephine "Josie" Madrid, along with twelve cherished grandchildren.

Florentino is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Eliza Madrid, Gloria "Cookie" Lucero, and an infant brother.

A visitation will be held at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel on Friday, January 31st, from 5 PM to 7 PM. The Rosary will take place the following morning at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church in Coolidge at 9:30 AM, with a Mass commencing at 10 AM, presided by Father Alex Tigga. Interment will follow at Heritage Valley Memorial Park.

Florentino's legacy of hard work and family devotion will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
