Floyd James, 66, of Casa Grande died on Aug. 26, 2014, at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix.
Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. The funeral will follow at 2:30.
Mr. James was born on May 3, 1948, in Greenville, Texas, to Clayburn James and Clara Davis. He attended elementary and high school in Casa Grande. He was a driver for Gipson Transportation for many years and also worked as a security officer in Tucson.
He was a very loving and giving person, and people really liked him. He regularly attended church in Randolph and had many friends. Sarah Masters was a special child in his life and called him Papa. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. He always looked forward to his fishing trips.
Survivors include a son, Rodney Williams of Sacaton; three daughters, Yvonne Littlejohn of Long View, Washington, Lakeisha Chappel of Tucson and Rosaline Thompson of Casa Grande; a sister, Fannie Mae Kelly of Arizona City; two brothers, Emmitt and Ocie B. James of Casa Grande; 22 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by two sons, Floyd James Jr. and Dion James; five brothers; and a sister.
