SACATON - Floyd Wayne Jim, 70, of Sacaton died on May 17, 2015, at Caring House.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 6 p.m. Friday at St. Anthony Catholic Mission in Sacaton. Rosary and wake will begin at 8 p.m. Friday at the Jim home. Burial will be early Saturday in Gunsight Village, Tohono O’odham Nation.

Mr. Jim was born on Aug. 16, 1944, in Blythe, California, and was a son of Frank and Lela Jim. He served in the Army from 1963 to 1966 and 10-plus years in the National Guard, leaving as a staff sergeant. He worked in construction and was a master carpenter. He liked to dance to chicken scratch music and was active in his veterans post.

Survivors include two daughters, Denise Jim of Kykotsmovi and Janice Jim of Sacaton; a sister, Thelma Davis of Sacaton; four brothers, Leonard, Harley and Gregory Jim, all of Sacaton, and Gabriel Jim of Yuma; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Randall Jim.
