Frances Lara

COOLIDGE - Frances Lara, 82, of Coolidge died on July 27, 2014, in Mesa.

Mrs. Lara was born on April 21, 1932, in Superior and was a daughter of Antonio and Elenor Ortiz. She was a retail sales clerk and enjoyed spending quality time with her family. She conducted Bible studies with people daily and enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, shopping and travel.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Nemecio "Ned"; two sons, Raul Lara of Florence and Andrew Lara of Coolidge; two daughters, Theresa "Terri" Hernandez and Amalia "Molly" Duran of Coolidge; a brother, Ruben Ortiz of Coolidge; three sisters, Elenor Lara of Stanfield, Tina Cosillos of Coolidge and Connie Mejia of Casa Grande; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Antonio, Grejorio, Armando, Joe and Manuel Ortiz; a sister, Maclovia Ortiz; and a grandson, Eli Trujillo.

No service will be held at her request.
