SACATON - Francis Lee Jones, 79, died at home in Sacaton on Dec. 20, 2019.
Mr. Jones was born on Feb. 3, 1940, in Sacaton and was a son of John Enos and Bessie Jones. He worked for Gila River Farms before retirement and enjoyed cleaning his yard, watching football games, listening to music and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
He was a fan of the Arizona Cardinals and Arizona Wildcats. He loved farms and rodeos and was a retired bareback rider.
Survivors include six sons and daughters, Edwin Jones, Judy Joe, Debra Ramon, Dwight and Tanya Jones and Erlene Zuniga; two siblings, Malcolm Eschief and Carol James; 34 grandchildren; and 48 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine; a sister, Fern Luna; a brother, Martin Eschief; five children, Vicky, Reba, Burdette, Karlina and Baby Boy Jones; and three grandchildren, Baby Lyons-Jones, Danielle Ethelbah and Baby Jones.
Wake beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 27, at the District 4 Service Center in Stotonic. Funeral at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28, at Upper Santan Presbyterian Church. Burial in Jones Cemetery.
