Frank B. Tavena

AK-CHIN - Frank B. Tavena, 51, died on Oct. 6, 2017, at Chandler Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Tavena was born on April 19, 1966, in Phoenix to Mary M. (Batopis) Tavena and Ramon Tavena Sr. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and worked hard as a general laborer in the construction field.
He was an expert cook, especially at making red chili tamales, and would help anyone whenever he could.
Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Vickie; five sisters and brothers, Lucy M. Jerry, Joe Jerry Jr., Fred Jerry Jr., Ramon Tavena Jr. and Maria Thomas; and his father. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Rosary and wake beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, at the Tavena home. Burial at 7 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, in Ak-Chin Cemetery.
