Frank Childs

SAN LUCY VILLAGE — Frank James Childs Jr., 66, of San Lucy died on July 19, 2012, at West Valley Hospital in Goodyear.
An all-night service will begin at 6 p.m. today at Childs Ranch near Ajo. Burial will be early Saturday in Childs Cemetery.
Mr. Childs was born on June 20, 1946, in Gibson, Ariz., one of 11 children of Elizabeth (Lewis) and Frank Childs. He was a heavy-equipment operator for the San Lucy District of the Tohono O'odham Nation. He lived in the Gila Bend area for the past 20 years.
Survivors include five sons, Frank J. Childs III of Gila Bend, Theohan Childs of El Paso, Texas, Manuel Childs of San Lucy, Colonel Childs of Gila Bend and Eschief J. Childs of San Lucy; two daughters, Meagan and Sally Childs of San Lucy; two brothers, Tom Childs of Arizona and Ace Childs of Colorado; four sisters, Augi, Judy, Dora and Darlene; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, Albert Childs, and four brothers, Les, Jerry "Bird," Ernie and Chief Childs.
