Freddie Mack Thompson, 73, of Maricopa, Arizona, entered into his eternal home on
June 22, 2017, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. He was a loving husband, a devoted father, an irreplaceable granddaddy, a loyal brother and a faithful friend. "Mack", as all his friends knew him, was the son of the late Walter Ervin and Bertha Mae Thompson. He was born in Levelland, Texas
on July 26, 1943. Mack accepted Jesus into his heart at the age of nine, along with his twin brother, Jack, and grew up in the church. He graduated from Dimmitt High School in 1961, then he moved from Texas to California in 1966, where he began his career in the produce industry. He worked for Bud Antle Inc. and Nunes Cooling. He had four children whom he adored and worked hard for. He met his soul mate, Sabra Jones, whom he married on June 16, 2007 in Yuma, Arizona. They moved between Salinas, CA and Yuma, AZ for work. After retiring from Nunes Cooling in 2008, Mack and Sabra moved to Maricopa, Arizona where he lived until the end of his
life, being loved, comforted and cared for by his devoted wife. Before the advanced stages of Alzheimer’s, Mack enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports, playing dominoes and card games, bowling, swimming, biking, running, caring for his plants, watching westerns on TV and dancing to old country music. He is remembered for his sweet tender loving heart, sense of humor, his sweet tooth and contagious laugh. We are confident that his soul is at rest in heaven, where he no longer experiences loss, grief, pain, discomfort or regret. Rather, Mack is dwelling in sheer joy and bliss as he revels in the beauty and glory of his Savior and God forever. He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his beloved wife, Sabra Thompson; his children: Cary and wife, Jennifer, of Corvallis, Oregon; Randy and wife, Valerie, of Davis, California; Tracy and wife, Sandra, of Hollister, California; Jolie and fiance, Nathan Rutledge, of Hollister, California; and Dinah Mae Thompson, the mother of his children. Other survivors also include 10 grandchildren:
