CASA GRANDE - Gail E. (Hayes) Fulks, 73, of Casa Grande died of lung cancer, peacefully in her sleep at home, on Sept. 14, 2015, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Fulks was born on Aug. 31, 1942, in Silverton, Colorado, to Andrew and Bonnie Hayes. She graduated from Montezuma-Cortez High School in 1960 and married William D. Fulks on March 7, 1970, in Cortez, Colorado, where they made a family and a home with their children. She had many occupations in her lifetime - waiting tables, managing restaurants, operator for a telecommunication center, manager for the American Legion - and for the last 15-plus years she worked with different hospice agencies in Casa Grande. She loved to care for everyone.
She loved spending time with her family and cooking, and she is famous for her dinner rolls and cinnamon rolls. Her hobbies were bowling, painting, crocheting, listening to her LPs and playing games with her children and grandchildren. She was devoted to her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Debra Lingo of Stanfield and Brenda Baldwin of Casa Grande; two sons, Darren Davis and Randy Fulks of Casa Grande; her loving 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years; a daughter, Jodie (Fulks) Samuelson; two brothers, Junior Hayes and Herb Morgan; and a sister, Bobbie Jean Morgan.
A graveside service will be held later at Goodman Point Cemetery in Cortez.
