George Gowland

George E. Gowland, 72, of Casa Grande died on Sept. 26, 2014, at home.

The service will be held later in Michigan.

Mr. Gowland was born on Nov. 3, 1941, in Detroit. He served in the Navy and was a tool and die maker in the printing industry. An outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, he was the sole caretaker of his wife of 50 years, Linda.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Lori; a sister, Judith A. Gowland of Rochester Hills, Michigan; two brothers, William F. and Richard W. Gowland of Michigan; a granddaughter; a grandson; and a great-grandson. He was preceded in death by a brother, Frederick W. Gowland.
