George Tallent ,

PICACHO — George Luther Tallent Jr., 88, of Picacho died on June 10, 2011, at home.
The service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Valley Chapel in Eloy, with Pastor Harley Faber officiating. The graveside service will be at 8 a.m. Friday in Eloy Memorial Park, with Masons and Pastor Biboy Abejuela officiating.
Mr. Tallent was born on Jan. 21, 1923, in Los Angeles and was a son of Mamie and George Tallent Sr. He served in the Navy during World War II and was a self-employed mechanical engineer. He built model antique airplanes, was a member of Eloy Masonic Lodge, loved to dance to country-western music and enjoyed roping. He was a 32nd Degree Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Honorata P.; a son, Wayne Tallent of Flagstaff; a daughter, Patricia Tallent of Austin, Texas; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 65 years, Lucille, and a brother, Earl W. Tallent.
