George Wendlin Axtman

CASA GRANDE - George Wendlin Axtman, 92, died on Nov. 1, 2017, at Caliche Senior Living community in Casa Grande.
Mr. Axtman was born near Balta, North Dakota. He served four years of active war-time duty in the Navy and was on the minesweeper USS Swift.
He is survived by a son, Frank Sheridan; a daughter, Sandy Cotton; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorial Mass celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
