CASA GRANDE - George William "Pat" Laizure, 80, of Casa Grande died on May 13, 2016, at Banner Casa Grande Medical Center.
Mr. Laizure was born on April 3, 1936, in Hopedale, Ohio, to George and Hannah (Grimes) Laizure. A proud Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War, he loved driving semi-trucks and also loved motorcycles and fishing.
He loved his family and spending as much time as possible with them. He was a member of Elks, a life member of the American Legion and a 32nd Degree Mason. He was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts and NASCAR and loved his dog, Bernice, very much.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Dixie; five sons, Michael Laizure and Patrick Laizure of Walkerton, Indiana, Joseph Laizure of Hamlet, Indiana, Gary Anspaugh of Plymouth, Indiana, and Terry Anspaugh of Aiken, South Carolina; two daughters, Brenda Hooten of Plymouth and Patricia Holcomb of Casa Grande; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joellen.
An informal gathering will be held at Casa Grande Valley Elks Lodge from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday. A celebration of life will be held later in Indiana.
