Gerald Weatherford Liverman, 90, of Casa Grande died on Aug. 28, 2012, at home.
A private service is planned.
Mr. Liverman was born on July 18, 1922, in Weatherford, Texas, and was a son of Byron and Ora Liverman. He was a heavy-equipment operator for 32 years and a member of Teamsters Union Local 428, where he served as a steward. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, the outdoors and working on cars and was always busy. He raced motorcycles in his younger years. He volunteered in search and rescue in Tucson.
He met his wife, Wanda J., when she was a waitress at the Coffee Cup Cafe in Eloy. They celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary in July. Other survivors include four daughters, Rita A. Brown of Casa Grande, Karen Paoli of Tucson, Marilyn Lawrence Trabuco of Canyon, Calif., and Vicki Marshall of Tucson; a sister, Betty Ordirico of Mammoth; three brothers, Joseph Liverman of Casa Grande, R.T. Liverman of Eloy and Cleo Liverman of Arizona City; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Lail and Ethel Amos.
J. Warren Funeral Services, Mountain View Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
