Gilbert Peter Chavez, known to many as Pete, passed away in Casa Grande. He was born in the same city on October 23, 1944. Pete lived a vibrant life filled with travel adventures and cherishing family connections.
In his lifetime, Pete found immense joy in traveling and exploring the beauty of the West Coast. His fondness for visiting family in California and sightseeing along the coast was evident in the collection of hats he amassed from every stop he made. Pete's passion for discovering new places and creating lasting memories through his cherished hat collection truly defined his adventurous spirit.
Pete will be dearly missed by his long list of surviving family members. He is preceded in death by his father Francisco Chavez, his mother Maria "Lily" Chavez, and siblings Frank, Alice, Roberto, Ernestina, Bernardo, Norberto, Lorenzo, Richard, and Sylvia. While Pete's physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his memory will continue to live on through the stories shared by those who knew and loved him.
May Gilbert Peter Chavez rest in eternal peace, his legacy of exploration and love forever remembered by those who were privileged to have him as part of their lives.
