Gilbert Ortega Gamez

Gilbert Ortega Gamez, 83, of Casa Grande, Az., died on January 26, 2022. Mr. Gamez was born in Tucson, Az., on March 1, 1938, to Ventura and Rita Gamez.
Gilbert was a loving Husband and Father, he loved his Family and Friends, and his happiness came from being with his Family, he loved going to Pinetop to enjoy the beautiful
Mountains and the fresh air and to go fishing. He would light up when he was with his Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great- Great Grandbabies. He always had a positive
attitude and he always had a big smile on his face, and everyone who met him instantly loved him. He served in the Army and retired from the Ak-Chin community as a carpenter.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Gilbert is survived by his wife of sixty-four years: Eva Leon Gamez; Children: Christine A. Butts, Jackie Garza, and Arnie Gamez; Siblings: Eddie and Alex Gamez, Olga Alcantar, Five Grandchildren, Four Great-Grandchildren, and Three Great-Great Grandchildren.

Gilbert is preceded in death by both his Parents; Siblings: Melba Garcia, Bobby, Roy, Charlie, Gene, and Richard Gamez, and One Grandson.

Graveside Service, Friday, February 11, 2022, 2 pm. At Mt. View Cemetery, Casa Grande, Az.
