Gilbert Robert "Gil" O'Connor

CASA GRANDE - Gilbert Robert "Gil" O’Connor, 86, of Casa Grande died on Aug. 17, 2019.

Mr. O'Connor was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was a past member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 640, Casa Grande Valley Elks Lodge and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a current member of West Pinal Mounted Sheriff’s Posse and was a grand marshal of the 2015 Cowboy Days.

He rode jumping horses for Mellon Stables and was a journeyman industrial electrician. He also managed several cattle ranches, brokered an international cattle sale to Taiwan, served as a cattle consultant and established his own guide service for hunting and fishing. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, bass tournaments and horses.
