Gladine Christine Allison

SANTAN - Gladine Christine Allison, 80, of Santan died on June 6, 2017.

Mrs. Allison was born on June 26, 1936, in Tucson to Nelson Lopez and Nellie Juan. She was devoted to her family and very caring, protecting and nurturing while raising her 12 children. She also tended to her grandchildren and their needs.

Her favorite hobby was the garden, where she grew a variety of squash. Her quiet times were reading the morning paper and watching sunrises and sunsets. She enjoyed her animals, especially her cats.

Survivors include six sons, Glen, John K., Clyde, Eugene, Dean and Nolen Allison; 22 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin; four sons, Arthur, Leland, Duane and Vernon Allison; and two daughters, Avis and Peggy Allison.

Wake from 7 to 10 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, at the Allison home. Funeral at 7 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, at Upper Santan Presbyterian Church, with Pastor David Stewart officiating. Burial in Upper Santan Cemetery.
