Gladys Myers

Gladys Myers, 81, of Casa Grande, AZ peacefully passed away at home with family by her side on January 12, 2017. She was born on July 10, 1935 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Mr. and Mrs. Vanzil Johnson.

Gladys was very influential in the Casa Grande area. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Many people will remember her for

her loving and compassionate spirit. Gladys knew no stranger; she was consistently taking care of others. She was once

described as "genteel", and it couldn’t be more accurate.

Gladys loved life, camping, fishing and above all, her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Gladys will truly be missed.

Gladys is survived by her husband of 62 years, Wallace Myers; their five children and their spouses: Cary and Kay, Kim and Maryann, Randy and Jan, Kyle and Krissa and Chris and Peggy Myers; her brother, James Johnson; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole and Maud, The Gardens Chapel was in charge of arrangements. A memorial service will be held at the Church of Christ on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 10 a.m. located at 805 E. Racine in Casa Grande. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that all donations be made to the Mayo Cancer Treatment Center in Scottsdale, AZ.
