Gloria Mendoza Duque

SANTAN - Gloria Mendoza Duque, 73, of Sacaton died on Dec. 5, 2018.

Ms. Duque was born on Aug. 4, 1945, in Chandler to Ramon Mendoza and Mary Yanez. She was a seamstress, did crafts and sold her beautiful work. She loved to cook and enjoyed being with family and friends, playing bingo and watching novelas.

She would speak her mind but always had words of wisdom. She was very well known in her community.

Survivors include five daughters and sons, Zina Espinoza, Naomi Garcia, Manuel Mendoza, Armando and Abelardo Canez; a sister, Margarita M. Felix; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, George Rosales; a brother, Raymond Mendoza; and a sister, Nellie Holguin.

Visitation beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14, at the District 4 Service Center in Santan. Funeral Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, at St. Anne Catholic Mission. Burial in St. Anne Cemetery.
