Gloria White, 86, of Red Rock, AZ, peacefully passed away on February 11, 2018 in Tucson. She was born on December 15, 1931
in Tucson, AZ to Lester and Ester Kinney. Gloria was a tough cowgirl who loved the ranch life. Gloria was a graduate from Marana
High School and attended the University of Arizona. Gloria was a
trained Trick-Rider and performed professionally, entertaining
hundreds of fans at local rodeos on her beloved horse, Happy.
In 1950, at the age of 18 years old, Gloria was named the Rodeo
Queen at the 25th Annual Fiesta de los Vaqueros (Tucson Rodeo).
In the following year, 1951, at the 11th Annual University of
Arizona Rodeo, Gloria was crowned the University Rodeo Queen.
Gloria and her husband, Pat White, owned and operated a
successful cattle ranch in Red Rock, AZ for 30 years.
Gloria is survived by her two living children, TA and Connie.
Gloria has eight grandchildren: Cy, Kyrene and Katy from her son,
Clay and wife, Ronella White; Travis, Tanya and Terrance from her
son, TA and wife, Diann White; Aaron and Aric from her daughter,
Connie. Gloria has four great-grandchildren: from her grandson,
Cy and his wife, Brooke White-McKenna, Taylor and Tylee; from
granddaughter, Kyrene White, Heidi; and waiting for arrival of
great-grandson, Abram, from Aaron and his wife, Leandra White.
The family plans on having a private ceremony to celebrate her life.
