Gordon Vaughn Antone

SACATON - Gordon Vaughn Antone, 73, of Sacaton died on March 6, 2017, at home.

Mr. Antone was born on July 31, 1943, in Sacaton to Clarence and Delores Antone. He had a quiet but friendly personality and was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need.

He was known in the community for his dedication to Holy Family Catholic Mission, volunteering with the church feast, attending church bingo and going to all of the area casinos. He loved his family and spending time with his close group of friends and the children of the family. He touched the lives of many people.

Survivors include his mother and six siblings, Lester, Cecil, Vernon, Darlene Antone, Norma (Antone) Casillas and Lavina (Antone) Ramirez. He was preceded in death by his father.

Rosary and wake service from 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, at his home in Sacaton. Funeral Mass celebrated at 8 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, at Holy Family Catholic Mission in Blackwater. Burial in West Side Cemetery.
