Grace Marie Rockstroh, 85, of Casa Grande died on Sept. 8, 2011, at home.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at Christian Church of Casa Grande. The service of remembrance will follow at 11, with Pastor Dave Eleiott officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mrs. Rockstroh was born on July 3, 1926, in the New York borough of Manhattan and was a daughter of Mary Hession. She was a seamstress at Lord & Taylor there, making several dresses for movie stars and first lady Eleanor Roosevelt. She later worked in food service for the Casa Grande Elementary School District and loved serving lunches to children at different schools. She was a member of Rebekahs, Order of the Eastern Star, Round Table, National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association and Christian Church of Casa Grande. She was a Diamondbacks fan and enjoyed sewing and doll making. She was an avid lottery player and was always lucky!
Survivors include a son, Harry L. (Gracie) Rockstroh of Casa Grande; a daughter, Cindy M. (Charles) Nelson of Tucson; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry B.
