Gregory Donald Pybon

CASA GRANDE - Gregory Donald Pybon, 68, died peacefully at home on Dec. 17, 2018.

Mr. Pybon was born on Oct. 20, 1950, in San Francisco and was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was awarded several medals, including two Purple Hearts, for his exemplary service. He later used his helicopter expertise to work for Bell Helicopter in the Seattle area and then overseas in the 1970s. He began working for Boeing Company in 1980 and had a 29-year career there that took him to six continents.

He made friends all throughout his travels. He loved to travel with his wife and family and had many adventures with them all over the world. After his retirement in 2009 he received bachelor's and master's degrees in aeronautical engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

A lifelong learner, he enjoyed many hobbies including gunsmithing and reading books from a wide variety of genres. He was infamous for his sense of humor and uncanny ability to lighten the mood, putting people at ease wherever he went.

Survivors include his loving wife of 28 years, Hanna; a son and daughter, Andrew and Rachel; two stepsons, Mark and Andy; and five grandchildren.
