Gregory Garcia

January 9, 1963 — May 18, 2020

Gregory Garcia, 57, passed away peacefully May 18, 2020 at his home with his family at his side. Greg was born in Casa Grande, AZ on January 9, 1963 and spent his early childhood in Eloy. He later moved to Dardanelle, AR where he graduated high school, enlisting in the U.S. Army, and served as a Cav Scout. After an honorable discharge he moved back to Arizona where he met his beloved wife of 29 years, Cindy. He worked for the City of Casa Grande for almost 30 years in the Sanitation Department making many long friendships along the way. He was a proud member of the Casa Grande Elks Lodge #1957 for 26 years, served as a Trustee with special recognition as Past Officer of the Year and Past Elk of the Year. He was a charter member of the Casa Grande Elk’s #1957 Riders Club. Greg loved fishing, camping, riding his motorcycle, the AZ Cardinals, ASU Sun Devils, and golfing with his "networking crew" and fellow lodge members. He was a loving husband to his wife; a devoted father to his four sons, Patrick, David, Phillip and Gregory; cherished adoring Tati to three grandsons. Greg is survived by his parents, Rudy and Maria Garcia of Maricopa, AZ and Carolyn Bradley- Stephenson of Star City, AR; dear brothers, Christopher of Maricopa, AZ, Claudio of Casa Grande, AZ; sister, Stephanie Garcia of Maricopa, AZ; and a large extended family and many friends he considered family. Greg was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip, who passed away April 26, 2020. Due to the corona virus, services will be held at a later date and a notice will be published. Special thanks to Dr. Arce-Lara and staff of Alliance Cancer Center, Compassus Hospice, and Rhonda Hawkins, RN. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Rest in Peace - Today, Tomorrow & Forever.
