**In Loving Memory of Guadalupe Mendez Flores**

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Guadalupe Mendez Flores, who left us on February 16, 2025, just a day shy of her 79th birthday. Born on February 17, 1946, to Liborio and Rafaela Mendez, Guadalupe was a vibrant soul whose creativity and zest for life touched everyone she met.

Guadalupe had a knack for sewing and knitting, often creating beautiful pieces infused with love and care. Her green thumb allowed her to cultivate a flourishing garden that reflected her nurturing spirit. Dancing brought her joy, and she could often be found swaying to the rhythm of oldies and Tejano music, filling the air with laughter and warmth. A lover of games, she enjoyed the thrill of crossword puzzles and the excitement of lottery scratchers, always sharing her playful spirit with family and friends.

Family was the heart of Guadalupe’s world. She cherished the moments spent with her loved ones, especially her beloved sisters. With her positive outlook, she offered wisdom and shared the importance of carrying on family traditions. Guadalupe often spoke fondly of the poem "Footprints," embodying its message and reminding others of the divine presence that walks alongside us throughout life’s journey.

Guadalupe is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Fidel Flores, her parents Liborio and Rafaela Mendez, her sister Teresa Salinas, and her brother Alejandro Mendez. She leaves behind a legacy of love as she is survived by her children, Diana Martinez, Alejandro Flores, and Javier Caraballo, six grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren, as well as her siblings: Maria Barrera, Jesusa Mendez, Juanita Gastelum, Canida Ruiz, Sylvia Coronado, Dominga Padilla, Rosa Maria Mendez, Jesus Mendez, Liborio Mendez Jr., and Ramon Mendez.

A celebration of Guadalupe's life will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, with visitation starting at 5:00 PM. The Funeral Service will take place on Friday, February 28, 2025, beginning at 9:00 AM, followed by her burial at Eloy Memorial Park at 10:00 AM.

Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who loved her. Services have been entrusted to J. Warren Funeral Services-Valley Chapel.
