BLACKWATER - Guadalupe "Lupe" Duran, 62, died peacefully on July 2, 2017.
Mr. Duran was born on April 14, 1955, in Santa Barbara, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was a foreman at Hiscox Farms, where he worked 30-plus years. He was devoted to his family, and his pride and joy were his children and grandchildren.
He loved baseball, especially the Arizona Diamondbacks, and enjoyed taking weekend trips with his wife.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Sandra; five children, Marta Notah, Elizabeth, Yolanda, Victor and Andrea Duran, all of Blackwater; four sisters, Manuela Melendez, Angelica and Martha Duran and Soledad Nungaray, all of Eloy; a brother, Vicente Duran of Blackwater; and 19 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vicente and Maria de Jesus, and a brother, Remedios Duran.
Wake from 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, at the District 1 Multipurpose Building. Funeral Mass celebrated at 8 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, at St. James Catholic Church in Coolidge by the Rev. Adolfo Martinez. Burial in Blackwater North Cemetery.
