Guadalupe "Lupe" Lucero

ELOY - Guadalupe "Lupe" Lucero, 88, of Eloy died on Oct. 10, 2017.
Mr. Lucero was born on Feb. 23, 1929, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, to Alberto and Antonia "Tonita" Lucero.
Survivors include eight adult children, Edward Lechuga, Lupe Sanchez, Albert Lucero, Mary Lou Martinez, George Lucero, Gloria Landa, Raymond Lucero and Jose Blas Gamez Sr.; their mother, Elvira L. Lucero; two siblings, Seferino Lucero and Dolores Lopez; 20 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five siblings, Katherine Madrid, Antonio Lucero, Salome Lucero, Lydia Garcia and Joe Lucero.
Visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 16, at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 12:30. Funeral Mass celebrated at 1 by the Rev. Alonzo Garcia with Deacons Mario Ortega and Pat Abiles assisting. Burial in Eloy Memorial Park, with a reception following at St. Helen's parish hall.
