Guadalupe "Lupe" Rosales

ELOY - Guadalupe H. Rosales, 82, of Eloy died on April 2, 2014, at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at St. Helen of the Cross Catholic Church, with rosary recited at 7. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday by her son, the Rev. Rudy Rosales. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.

Mrs. Rosales was born on Nov. 16, 1931, in Solomonville and was a daughter of Eduardo Hernandez and Delfina Luna. She married Gilbert S. Rosales on Jan. 26, 1947, at St. Helen’s Church, and they became the proud and loving parents of 10 children. She was a homemaker and was a strong, loyal and compassionate wife, mother and nana. She was fierce and relentless in pursuing health and security for her family, of which she was the matriarch. Her love was boundless and unconditional.

Survivors include 10 sons and daughters, Norbert Rosales of Hayden, Magdalena Rosales of Glendale, Carlos Rosales of Eloy, Sylvia Voss of Phoenix, Ana Maria Valadez of Eloy, Jerry Rosales of Glendale, the Rev. Raul H. "Rudy" Rosales of Glendale, Carol Rosales of Peoria, Rosemary Rosales of Chandler and Irene Rosales of Eloy; a brother, Edward Hernandez of Maricopa; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister, Magdalena Montoya.
