COOLIDGE - Guadalupe V. "Lupe" Villa, 94, of Coolidge died quietly on Feb. 20, 2015, in Chandler, with family members at her bedside.
The scripture service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Coolidge Chapel. Burial will be in Heritage Valley Memorial Park.
Mrs. Villa was born on Oct. 30, 1920, in Rayon, Sonora, Mexico, and was a daughter of Justo and Carmen Vasquez. She and her husband, a son and daughter immigrated to Arizona on Nov. 17, 1958, and the couple later had two more children. They made the Coolidge and Florence area their home.
Life was challenging but she never lost her faith, optimism and sense of humor. She was a lifelong homemaker, providing guidance, love and support not only to her children but to many nieces and nephews as well. The loving, giving matriarch of a large extended family, she always kept her heart and home open to family or friends in need.
Survivors include a son, Rafael Villa Jr. of Williamstown, New Jersey; two daughters, Norma Villa of Tempe and Maria Garcia of Coolidge; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rafael Villa Sr.; a son, Ramon Villa; and a grandson, Linc Garcia.
