WET CAMP - Gwendolyn Fern Garza, 75, died on Dec. 1, 2013, at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa.
The graveside service will be at 8 a.m. Wednesday in Vah-Ki Cemetery.
Mrs. Garza was born on Sept. 9, 1938, in Phoenix. She was a daughter of Willie Haskie and Mildred Lewis and lived in the Wet Camp area of Gila River District 5. She worked as a medical caregiver and was Jehovah’s Witness and a member of Alcoholics Anonymous. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Casimiro Garza Sr.; three sons, Art and Casimiro Garza Jr. of District 5 and Alfred Garza of Chandler; three sisters, Carolyn Dubin of Phoenix, Janet Haskie of Bapchule and Loretta Martinez of Chandler; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Danny Garza, and a brother.
