Gwendolyn Lucille Milligan, 94, of Casa Grande died on March 20, 2010 at Desert Oasis Assisted Living in Casa Grande.
A private graveside service is planned in Mountain View Cemetery.
Mrs. Milligan was born on Sept. 15, 1915 in Cogswell, N.D., to Fritz and Nellie J. Ridder. She came to Casa Grande in 1932 with her mother and stepfather, Frank Williams. She graduated from Casa Grande Union High School and attended what is now Arizona State University for two years. In August 1940 she married Donald Milligan in Florence. She lived in the Casa Grande area for many years. She was a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader.
She worked with the late Jim Gorraiz at the Casa Grande Photo Shop and also at the Town Shop. She also was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and crafts. In the early 1970s she and her husband retired in Bullhead City, where she managed a photo shop. In the late 1970s they returned to Casa Grande to be near their son, daughter and grandchildren. They enjoyed traveling in their motor home with the Sunny Sams club.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Donna McMahon of Casa Grande; a son, Wesley Milligan of Casa Grande; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granddaughters.
