Hans Johann Kuepper, 86, of Casa Grande died on June 29, 2010, at home, with his wife by his side.
A private service will be held later.
Mr. Kuepper was born on May 12, 1924, in Cologne, Germany, and was a son of Johann and Paula Kuepper. He immigrated to Quebec, Canada, from Cologne after World War II and then to the United States. He became a citizen and was an engineer for Pacific Gas & Electric. He retired and two weeks later was in Saudi Arabia working for ARAMCO for two years, then contracted with California Splice & Test until retiring again at age 74.
He settled in Oregon with his wife of 13 years, Patricia “Pat.” After traveling all over the world, they moved to the Fairways community in Casa Grande in 2002.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Karl Kuepper of Ethiopia; two stepsons, David MacLaren of Ashland, Ore., and Christopher MacLaren of Monson, Mass.; three stepdaughters, Debra MacLaren of Tucson, Diana Stinson of Eugene, Ore., and Lisa MacLaren of Salt Lake City, Utah; four brothers, Fritz Kann of Australia, Manny, Peter and Willy Kann, all of Germany; two sisters, Sybille Miller and Hildegard Leng of Germany; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Rosa Kuepper and Paula Scheerer.
