BAPCHULE - Harlan Francis Santos, 61, died on Dec. 24, 2015, at Hospice of the Valley Dobson Home in Chandler.
The wake will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at the Raymond Kyyitan home. The funeral will be at 8 a.m. Jan. 9 at Lighthouse Miracle Church in Casa Blanca, with Pastor Milton Nelson officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery.
Mr. Santos was born on Oct. 5, 1954, in Sacaton. He was a teaching assistant and loved dancing and silversmithing and made beautiful jewelry. He loved spending time with family and friends and was loved by many nieces and nephews.
He liked boxing and could bring a smile to anyone around. He really respected his brothers and sisters and loved his dogs, Daisey, Midget and Puffy.
Survivors include his wife, Karen; two sons, Sebastian Santos of Zuni, New Mexico, and Angel Santos of Albuquerque; a stepson, Cecil Miguel of Ak-Chin; two daughters, Francine Salazar of Gallup, New Mexico, and Alisa Santos of Albuquerque; three brothers, Emery Brown Jr., Aaron Brown and Raymond Kyyitan Sr., all of Bapchule; six sisters, Janet Kyyitan, Glendora Melton, Carolyn, Cornelia and Jacqueline Brown and Annette Santos, all of Bapchule; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Basil W. Santos; his mother and stepfather, Bernice Brown-Kyyitan and Emery Brown Sr.; and two brothers, Randall and Irenius Brown.
