Harold Edward Baugus Sr., 78, of Maricopa died on Oct. 29, 2010, at home.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Maricopa. The service will follow at 11, with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Casa Grande Mountain View Cemetery.
Mr. Baugus was born on April 1, 1932, in Olive Hill, Tenn., and was a son of Frank and Edna Baugus. He served in the Marine Corps. He owned Harold Baugus Custom Harvesting & Trucking and also owned Harold’s Club in Maricopa for 21 years. He enjoyed deep sea fishing and hunting and was an avid gardener. He loved the Phoenix Suns.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Viola E.; a daughter, Sharon Holmes of Maricopa; a son, Harold E. Baugus Jr. of Phoenix; a sister, Dorothy Goodrich of Fisk, Mo.; a brother, Jerry Baugus of Fairdealing, Mo.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Joe Baugus; five brothers; and a sister.
