Helen B. Edwards

Helen B. Edwards, 93, of Casa Grande died on Jan. 11, 2015, at Oasis Pavilion Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

The celebration of life will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel.

Mrs. Edwards was born on Dec. 23, 1921, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, and was a daughter of John and Elsie (Waldeck) Wollenburg. She was a social worker for Dodge County, Wisconsin, before retirement. She was a member of American Association of University Women, Woman’s Club of Casa Grande and PEO Sisterhood.

She enjoyed travel, and some of her favorite trips were to Alaska, Ireland, Nova Scotia, the beach in Mexico, Europe, including France, England, Italy, Germany and Switzerland, and a Panama Canal cruise. She was devoted to her family and friends.

Survivors include two daughters, Holly B. McConaghy of Casa Grande and Barbara Sacco of Pacific, Missouri; a son, Lee McConaghy of Clearwater, Florida; a sister, Joan Schmock of Naples, Florida; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Keys McConaghy and Robert Edwards Sr.; a son, Robert Edwards Jr.; a sister, Norma Herbrand; and a brother, George Wollenburg.
