Helen Rhey Whitehead

January 24, 1935 — April 20, 2018

Born in Canutillo, Texas, Helenbmoved to Arizona as a baby, living most of her life in Coolidge before moving to Casa Grande with her husband, Mack Whitehead, and spending her final years in Stanfield, AZ. She was the proud mother to 10 children: Kathy (Jim) Earls of Stanfield, AZ; Susan (Jim) LaFave of Ponca City, OK; Dianna Nehring of New London, WI; Richard (Barbara) Wilden of Casa Grande, AZ; Chris (Mark) Hall of Casa Grande, AZ; Steve (Margaret) Wilden of Stanfield, AZ; Cliff Wilden of Casa Grande, AZ; Lynn (Jeff) Spear
of Maumelle, AR; Ray (Melissa) Williams of Casa Grande, AZ; and Nancy (Jerry) Hunt of Ada, OK. Also three stepchildren, Gary, Debbie and Benny Whitehead. Grandmother to 28 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

Helen’s family was the joy of her life. Family gatherings were precious times for her where she could be heard saying "Give me some sugar" to the delight of her loved ones. Helen enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening, old movies and her puppy, Angel.

Helen was proceeded in death by her mother and father, Mary and Edith Dickey; three sisters, Katherine Bounds, Inez Duvall and Baby Mary; two brothers, Troy Dickey and Baby Ed; her children, Dianna and Richard Wilden; her sons-in-law, Jim Earls and Jim LaFave;
granddaughters, Gina Marie and Crystal Wilden, Isabella Martinez and grandson, Daniel James Aragon.

As she entered eternal rest, Helen was surrounded by her loving family. Viewing will be at First Presbyterian Church on Cottonwood Lane in Casa Grande on Friday, April 27th at 10 a.m. Services following at 11 a.m. with burial at Mountain View Cemetery.
