Helena Minghelli

CASA GRANDE - Helena Love Minghelli, 92, died on June 10, 2018, in Glendale.

Mrs. Minghelli was born on Nov. 4, 1925, in Los Angeles to Frank Swetnika and Sallie Grantham. She was an active member of United Pentecostal Church International from 1948 until 2016.

She was an accomplished pianist, organist and singer. She painted many oil paintings, created her clothes and was always ready and willing to whip up a delicious meal.

Survivors include three sons, Nino Paul, David and Phillip Minghelli; two daughters, Rebecca R. Minghelli and Deborah L. (Minghelli) Lee; a brother, Thomas F. Swetnika; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert P., and a brother, Edward G. Swetnika.

Visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, June 15, at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. Funeral there at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 16. Graveside service in Eloy Memorial Park.
