BAPCHULE — Henrietta Antone, 79, died on Oct. 23, 2012, at Caring House in Sacaton, surrounded by her loved ones.
The wake and rosary will begin at 6 p.m. today at the Antone home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Catholic Church by Monsignor Ed Meulemans. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.
Ms. Antone was born on May 21, 1933, in Sacaton and was a daughter of Naomi White and Gideon Osife. She attended St. Peter Mission School and St. Johns Indian School in Komatke. She was a homemaker and loved being with the elders at their District 5 center. Her hobbies included quilting, doing word search, visiting, travel, watching the Cardinals and going to casinos to play "her" machines.
Survivors include five sons, Manuel Hernandez Jr. of Maricopa, Larry and Calvin Antone, Paul and Dennis Hernandez, all of Bapchule; three daughters, Mary Antone of Bapchule, Darlene Antone of Coolidge and Rose Lucero of Chandler; a brother, Thomas White of Casa Blanca; 23 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Celestino Hernandez; a daughter, Elaine Antone; two brothers, Emmette and Philabert White; and a sister, Annette Bernal.
